Yoko Japanese Restaurant in Maumee

This place was wonderful. I can't believe I have not been there yet. It is so close to my home and office. The food was awesome, the service and the the detail they went to, to make sure we had a wonderful experience is exactly why I will be back. I can't wait to take my husband for Valentines Day and surprise with the best meal and service he has every had.

Very good hibachi food! Steak and lobster was amazing along with the vegetables and fried rice. Our hibachi chef was very funny he really liked the work “sexy” and was entertaining throughout the whole meal. The owner came out and asked how it was after the meal! Highly recommend this new local restaurant.

Wasn't quite sure what to expect. It was a very enjoyable experience all around. The food, the atmosphere and the service. I loved my salmon!! I hope they will host more company gatherings.

The staff is very quick and helpful. my drink never ran out and the food is worth the price! I would highly recommend anyone that is curious check this place out.

My wife and I have been waiting to try this place for a while now. Prices were on par with other Japanese Steakhouses. What made it stand out is the quality of the food. The sushi was super fresh and delicious! We are already planning a second visit. Highly recommended!

I haven't been in over a year and a half. It was every bit as enjoyable as my first experience. The chef was excellent, our server was friendly, and the meal itself was excellent in every way. Truly a enjoyable experience!

Absolutely phenomenal!! The service and food was amazing! Some of the best sushi I've ever had and my steak was cooked to perfection. I will be making Rayoka a weekly stop after this amazing visit!

Stopped by for lunch with coworkers. Service was incredibly slow despite not being busy. Fish tasted fresh but the sushi was poorly rolled. They weren't rolled tight enough so the rolls were falling apart. Quite pricey compared to other sushi joints in the area. Might come back to try the dinner hibachi but probably won't come back for lunch.

Beautiful presentation, and high quality fish. The sushi rice was slightly off. The rolls did not stick together and several fell apart. This may have been due to us being there directly before the 2 pm break.The staff was courteous and responsive.Overall we would definitely recommend giving them a try

We are so impressed with this restaurant! We usually order from Domo but we’re looking for something closer to home. Rayoka did not disappoint. We love the Atkins roll, Fireball roll and Pink Dragon. Nice service and great sushi. Far better than Tea Tree - really the best in Maumee and Perrysburg.

Best hibachi I've found in the area

This is a fantastic restaurant with phenomenal food and an awesome staff. Walked in to see what the place was like and look at the menu. Once I saw the wall of quality bourbon and the menu, I stayed. The staff was extremely inviting and welcomed me with recommendations for a great meal and an incredible old fashion. I was not disappointed with anything I had tonight. As you can see in the picture I had a fillet hibachi style with rice and vegetables. The meal also included soup and salad. What a great value for the price but what was excellent was the flavors and the quality of the food. You’ve got to come in and try this place. The true highlight of the restaurant beyond the food and drink was the amazing staff to include the owner. Everyone was super nice and made the meal very enjoyable. Probably the best time eating out I’ve had in months.Thank you and see you again next time I’m in Toledo. Stan

Very nice, quaint Habachi restaurant. The staff were very friendly and service was fast. The food was very good and priced accordingly. We will definitely make this a date night spot and refer friends. We had the Hibachi chicken, Bibimbap chicken, and Pink Dragon sushi.

The food is amazing, the cocktails are outstanding, and the happy hour is so good. There were so many sushi rolls to choose from, they have Yakitori, hibachi so much. The bar selection is so unique, some of the best scotch and whisky in the area. I had a smoked Manhattan, wow, I can't say enough how good it was.The Blue Crab Roll and dragon roll were phenomenal, our friends had the rainbow roll and Atkins roll... I will be back. Several more times.

My wife and I had at at the hibachi grill and had a sushi roll. Everything was very delicious, and our server Maggie was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Not only does this restaurant have great food, but their bartenders/mixologist have awesome drinks. Highly recommend for food and/or drinks.

I tried to call ahead to determine whether this location was open for service, but my call went straight to a message indicating that the restaurant was open as usual (with alterations expected in our current situation ). When my husband and I arrived (after a bit of a drive), we discovered that there was only takeout available. We were extremely disappointed and hoped the advance phone call would have prevented this type of issue. Better communication is needed in times like these.

sushi chefs in street clothes it looks very unprofessional. eating drinking and playing on their phone in the work area. understaffed. The bartender is the only server for the entire place. sushi bar display is practically nonexistent. and the food is overpriced. it was OK. but not worth a second go.

Had a wonderful experience. I'm not from Ohio I was just there on businesses and spending some time with some friends. The food was excellent! We had several sushi rolls and enjoyed every one that I tried. The hibachi was a a really fun experience. Our guy was engaging, fun and very talented. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Generous portions (son got almost same size as we did) good food, and staff! Reasonably priced!

2/24/20 = 5 ✨ ⭐️ I came here for a super late dinner as I was coming off the road and wanted some sushi and it was 45 mins until they closed. 1. Staff was friendly and accommodating 2. Food was fresh and delicious 3. Clean establishment 4. Clean bathroom5. Causal relaxing ambience I ordered some seaweed salad along with the fancy rainbow roll. Everything was so delicious. I had orders the peanut butter Manhattan as well and it was very tasty. Loved my experience here and would return if ever in the area.

The wife and I love this place! Every time we go we leave it up the the sushi chef to make something up.its always really good and creative. And the staff is great and the prices are really fair

Had the opportunity to get a taste of what Rayoka is bringing to the area before their grand opening. The atmosphere has a wonderfully intimate feeling to it. The staff is extremely attentive and quick. I tried the vegetable hibachi and loved it. The portions are huge. While they are refining their offerings, I was excited to hear that they are looking to try some unique things. Menu items like a simple syrup made from agave instead of white sugar, and creating a teriyaki sauce from free from animal products instead using fruits jumped out at me. I didn't get to sample much from the sushi side of things but look forward to going back soon to check that out too.

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday afternoon and that was a disaster. After being seated my wife and I placed our orders and the waiting began. Our soup and salad arrived quickly enough but my wife’s salad had a black hair in it. So our soup and salad went untouched. Our hibachi chef arrived and was pleasant and quickly cooked our food but forgot the tofu for my wife’s vegetable and tofu entree. So we waited again for that to be corrected. During all this waiting the sushi we ordered never came. Finally after finishing our entrees our server apologized for the wait on our sushi and spoke with the sushi chef. One roll out of 3 was finished in 45 minutes and we had enough. We told the server would take whatever rolls were done but we would not wait any longer. The owner came to our table and apologized for our meal and comped the roll we received and took 10 percent off our bill. Overall it was a miserable experience and I will not return.

Amazing quality. Great, friendly service.

Clean, minimalistic decor. Open concept feels less claustrophobic than other hibachi restaurants. Chefs were talented, fun, engaging and highly skilled. Food was absolutely delicious, and portions were generous but not exorbitant. Hibachi meals were cooked to exact order, and the sushi & sashimi platters were beautifully prepared and delectable. I could eat here every week for a year and try something new each time.

Tuna Sashimi and duck meat balls were delicious. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I enjoyed our date night here. We got a couple seats at the sushi bar and had a few sushi rolls. My wife, who isn't a huge sushi fan, thought it was delicious!

Excellent sushi and steakhouse. I went early at about 5 PM. Nobody else was there so I chose a table instead of the Hibachi cooked in front of you. I ordered a california roll and the chicken/shrimp Hibachi. Both excellent and reasonably priced. There is even a children's menu for Hibachi. I have not seen this at other restaurants like this one. The yum yum sauce is slightly different, but awesome! I got a chance to meet the chef. He is quiet and quite personable! The service was awesome! What can I say except, this a Best Place for me in Maumee/ Toledo area! Love it!

They took a little longer to get to us, but it was worth the wait. It was good food and entertainment.

In town for work. Ordered carryout and got the Maumee, Hawaiian, and Rainbow rolls. Atmosphere looks fun and inviting when I picked up the order. Overall the rolls we're very good with fresh ingredients. If I'm back in town for work again I will definitely be going back!

Great food and service! We had hibachi and sushi and both were so good! We went with some family and our almost 2 year old loved the chef cooking in front of us. Nothing like dinner and a show!

I ordered a specialty roll with miso soup and a house salad to go. I was giving a 30-35 minute estimate. I got there just after the 30 minute wait time. The woman at the front checked in my order and then said it will be a while for the roll because someone ordered a sushi boat before me, but that the other items were ready. It took about another 15 minutes to get my roll. Then when I got home I found out they gave me a house soup, which mostly just broth, because they misheard me. They refunded me for the soup. Also, the roll was not fresh. The avocado was brown-ish and didn't taste right. I will not go back there, at least not until after the pandemic is over.

Cozy, fun, personable, lots of good things here. It's not that other hibachi place, and I am perfectly fine with that. Quick to be seated, don't be surprised if you get a hibachi by yourself. Fun chefs, really good food, excellent service, it's our go to place for hibachi now!

I decided to check this place out before the official opening and was highly impressed. I couldn't find anything that I would change. It's a smaller place so it feels intimate. The decor and lighting was perfect and had a comfy feel. The service was warm and great. I got to try the akang roll, seared tuna, dragon martini, potato cakes, and a hibachi dinner. The hibachi comes with choice of meat (or vegetarian option), rice, soup, and salad. Everything tasted perfectly. My sister even loved the sushi and she hates sushi! The prices are also really reasonable. I love that the owners and management are invested in what their customers like and want. They have vegan options. I highly recommend this place.

Great food, and waitresses. Great chef and was funny. Best fried rice ever, hands down.
